Why my blog was deleted?

Generally these are three reasons: inactivity, linkspam, warez, porn, plagiarism.

What are domains and how to choose the right domain?

The domain you choose is very important.  It can be hard or easy to remember, it can be simple or complicated.

Domains are important because of the branding they can give to your website. For instance if you make a blog about Linux, yourname.unixclan.org or somename.cracker.ro could be a good choice.

If you create a blog where you post about your thoghts or life, somename.privatestory.com or yourname.justpost.com are recommended.

For a gaming blog you can use player.ro and so on.

  2. Hello,

    Something is very wrong, I think. I set up my blog a few days ago and now it seems to have vanished. Since all it contained was one post and one page of text, neither of which was pornographic or otherwise improper, and it’s only been 2-3 days since I made the page so it wasn’t inactive either…but all I get is the Blogdive homepage when I try to log in, or even visit.

    What has happened, and why? Please let me know whether this is a temporary problem or whether I need to find some other host.

    @adam: Use login or your.blog.url/wp-admin

    @Judyth: Copy and pasted content from other sites may also flag your blog as subject to deletion. Also because of the huge volume of spam we receive, we sometimes delete semi-inactive blogs by mistake, that’s why it’s recommended to write at least 2 blog posts as soon as possible.

    I’m kinda confused here… What exactly do you mean by inactivity? I mean, say, if there are no articles for a week (or maybe more), may mean I’m ill or admitted to hospital something similar. Is there any specific limit to being inactive? Can you guys activate the account again (after it has been deleted)?

    My blog just vanished into thin air, although I wrote two posts according to the five day rule. Please reactivate it and send me a confirmation, or otherwise an explanation if you can’t restore the blog. Thank you very much!

  6. admin says:

    @Jonathan: Excessive linking to other websites or copy&pasted content may trigger the spam flag and you blog can get deleted. We take spam very serious, because we receive around 1000 spammy signups per day.

  7. admin says:

    @Andy: If your blog is not spammy and you become inactive for months, that’s fine, don’t worry about this.

    Hello, how many links i can include in my blog page, because i have few sites i would like to add value to through this blog. It is permitted, isn’t it?

    I typed in chinese, because that is why i created this blog, to blog about my chinese life. I never linked anything, and it just got deleted, for no reason, and I can’t even get an explanation why?
